Attorney General Reveals Investigation into President's Adversaries and Jeffrey Epstein Ties

On Friday, Pam Bondi assigned interim US attorney Jay Clayton to lead an investigation into political adversaries of the President and their connections with Jeffrey Epstein. This action came just after the president instructed her to initiate the probe.

During an announcement, the Attorney General highlighted Jay Clayton as “one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country”. The official added, “As with all matters, the department will pursue this with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people.”

This action contrasts with a July memo from federal authorities which indicated that the Epstein files lacked grounds for further inquiries. According to the memo, investigators “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”
