British Airways will offer free fast in-flight wifi via Starlink agreement

Passengers flying with British Airways can soon access fast internet in the air without charge following a recent partnership with the billionaire's space provider.

The airline announced that this free, “fast and dependable” connectivity service via SpaceX will be accessible for passengers flying economy, premium economy, and premium cabins as of the coming month.

Widespread Deployment Across Various Flight Operators

The parent firm for British Airways, IAG, stated it had secured an partnership involving SpaceX to offer internet services for more than 500 jets within their carriers, including the Irish airline, Iberia, and Vueling.

BA noted that the rollout of this system was included in a seven billion pound “upgrade” plan and will offer uninterrupted internet access for travelers starting at the gate to arrival, including when traveling across oceans and far-off locations.
