Two Individuals Charged for Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the jailhouse death of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes among them the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
